Palencia and Belmonte

This weekend we had separate guys and girls rides planned.
As Dan says “moments from the Guys ride” 260 km to Palencia and then back.
Sara was off to ride with Alicia Sornosa for her Ladies on the road event. Thanks to the other ladies for some of the photos.
The ladies met up in Madrid and then headed way off the main roads on one-lane tracks thru small pretty villages.
We took our lunch break near to the castle at Priego.
We finished the day in Belmonte at a hotel built on a castle ruins.
In the morning we had a photo session for the hotel and the newspaper in front of the hotel and then at the Belmonte castle.
The route back to the city was also on curvy small roads.
We stopped for lunch in a town near Madrid that has one of the oldest main Plazas in the country.
