Back in the Schengen

We had a great experience with Carrie at Motorcycle Express!  The bikes were very well secured with way too many tie down straps, but each one was completely padded. The bikes arrived at Cargo city less than an hour from touchdown at Charle de Gaulle Airport. The customs procedure and freight forwarding logistics were seamless. We are headed 1000km south to rendezvous with the rest of the gang in Spain.

It started out sunny, but that changed quickly. Luckily before it got too bad we managed to get thru the serious traffic thru Paris. It was rainy pretty hard for the first three hours. We are happy that we have good gear and we were both still dry when we arrived to Cestas France after 659 km. The forecast for tomorrow is better and we had a beautiful sailor’s delight sunset.

We woke up to sunny weather for the rest of the trip south to Bilbao. We continued on the toll road because it cut the travel time by hours. We made quick work of the 320 km to Bilbao.
